    Diesel generator set battery maintenance
    When the battery of a diesel generator set is not in use for a long time, appropriate charging must be given before use to ensure the normal capacity of the battery. (The actual capacity of the battery can be detected by a hydrometer) Normal operation and charging will cause some water in the battery to evaporate, which requires frequent rehydration of the battery. Before rehydration, first clean the dirt around the filling port to prevent it from falling into the battery grid. Then open the filling port and add an appropriate amount of distilled water or pure water. Do not add it too much (using the scale of the battery plate as the standard). Otherwise, when the battery is discharged/charged, the electrolyte inside the diesel engine will gush out from the overflow hole of the filling port, causing corrosion and damage to surrounding objects and the environment. Avoid starting the battery at low temperatures. The battery capacity will not be output normally under low temperature environments, and long-term discharge may cause battery failure (cracking or explosion).     What to do if the generator set is not charged when charging
    The manufacturer believes that this problem may be caused by damage to the fuse or rectifier diode. When the fuse is blown, the power indicator light of the charger does not light up; when the rectifier diode is damaged, the power indicator light of the charger is on, but there is no DC output. 1. The charger transformer is burned out. 2. The diode on the charger is burned out. 3. The charging ammeter of the charger is damaged. 4. The charger's fuse is burned out. The method to troubleshoot the fault is: disconnect the connection line between the charger and the battery, use a multimeter DC voltage barrier (50V) to test the voltage between the two output terminals of the charger. Note that the red meter pen is connected to the positive electrode of the charger, and the black meter pen is connected to the negative electrode, and there is no voltage output. Remove the charger housing and inspect the charging insurance core. It was found that the 60A safety core was burned out. After replacement, the charger resumes normal charging and the fault is eliminated.

    Don't use diesel generator sets for a long time to prevent them from being damaged
    The diesel generator set is mostly caused by the long-term static unit. The various materials of the unit itself will undergo complex chemical and physical changes with engine oil, cooling water, diesel, air, etc., which are mainly manifested in two aspects. It is summarized as follows: The filter filter capacity decreases. The filter plays a role in filtration of diesel, engine oil or water to prevent impurities from entering the body. In diesel oil and impurities are also inevitable. Therefore, during the operation of the unit, the filter plays an important role, but at the same time, these oil or impurities are deposited on the filter wall, causing the filter filter capacity to decrease. If too much is deposited, the oil circuit will not be smooth. In this way, the oil engine will be shocked due to the inability to supply oil (such as human beings lack of oxygen).
