Analysis of several common problems of not starting diesel generator sets

A diesel generator set is a with diesel as the main fuel generator set . Its working process is mainly to spray diesel into the combustion chamber accurately and promptly, and the compressed air in the combustion chamber must reach a sufficient temperature to be fully burned. To meet these two conditions, the diesel engine must have a sufficiently high speed and the corresponding temperature in the cylinder when starting the diesel engine, so that the diesel generator set can work. When the diesel generator set cannot be started, we must pay attention to the observation so that we can determine what causes the diesel generator set to fail to start. 1. When starting, only the starter electromagnetic switch is heard, or when the starter starts, the starter drives the crankshaft to rotate slowly a few times, and then the starter sounds like the starter electromagnetic switch, but the crankshaft does not rotate. This phenomenon generally belongs to the battery 'unset' fault.

2. Temporary parking can be started every time, but the parking time is long or the crankshaft can only be rotated a little when starting the next day. This phenomenon is caused by severe self-discharge of the battery, and its electrode plates and partitions are seriously aging, indicating that the battery is almost scrapped.

3. When starting, the starter suddenly rotates weakly, accompanied by a burning rubber odor or smoke coming out of the battery. Most of them are caused by poor contact between the pole and pole clips and causing heat and burning.

4. If the starter drive gear and the engine flywheel ring make an idling sound during startup, there are two reasons: one is that the meshing and cutting surface of the flywheel ring is deformed; the other is that the gap between the starter drive gear and the flywheel ring is too large. If the two cannot engage, the engine cannot start.

5. As soon as the main power switch is turned on, the starter drive gear meshs and rotates with the flywheel ring. This failure occurs, first, the holding coil of the starter electromagnetic switch is incorrectly connected to the power supply terminal; second, the three wires on the key switch are incorrectly connected. The method of judgment is: when the key is in the '0' position, the starter drive gear does not rotate, and when the starter drive gear is in the '2' position, the starter drive gear and the flywheel ring are meshed and rotated together.

6. The start switch is turned to the start position. The engine cannot start, and there are no other phenomena. This failure is, first, the key and switch are not connected to the start circuit due to wear; second, the starter relay is not connected to the starter electromagnetic switch circuit; third, the power switch is not connected to the main circuit.

7. There is only a slight 'click' sound when starting, and there is no reaction anymore. This is caused by the start-up relay card issuance. At this time, just press the tail of the solenoid to force the solenoid to move forward, and the starting circuit can be turned on, thereby starting the engine.

It can be seen from this that when the diesel generator set cannot be started, we should look for the reasons from the starting work, the fuel supply system of the diesel generator set and the compression.
