Shandong Province Low-zero Carbon Fuel Marine Engine Key Laboratory (Preparation) was established and the first session was successfully held

Recently, the board of directors of Shandong Province’s Key Laboratory for Low-Zero Carbon Fuel Marine Engines (Preparation) was established and the first session of the first session was held at Zichai Company. The meeting was chaired by Professor Song Enzhe from the Institute of Harbin Engineering University of Yantai and Guo Liang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the company, in stages. Liu Yudong, Section Chief of Zibo Science and Technology Bureau, Professor Liu Yongqi of Shandong University of Science and Technology, Du Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of the company, Xin Qiangzhi, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer, Professor Yao Chong of Yantai Harbin Engineering University Research Institute, Fang Jing, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Development Center of Zibo Hi-tech Zone, and more than 10 people attended the meeting. The meeting read out the approval document of the Shandong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and the participants voted to pass the list of members of the board of directors, and reviewed and approved the charter of the provincial key laboratories, the charter of the academic committee, and the annual indicator task breakdown table. Chairman Guo Liang issued a letter of appointment to the laboratory director, executive deputy director and deputy director.

Guo Liang emphasized that we will give full play to the role of the provincial key laboratories as an important platform for scientific and technological innovation in the province, and do our best to support and promote the high-quality development of the laboratory: First, adhere to strategic guidance and serve the overall development, second, strengthen openness and coordination, gather innovation synergy, third, improve mechanism construction, stimulate innovation vitality, and fourth, adhere to the scientific spirit and promote academic integrity. Song Enzhe expressed his gratitude to all parties for his support and explained the laboratory's mission positioning and future planning. Liu Yudong put forward higher requirements for the reorganized and integrated provincial key laboratories and put forward guiding opinions on subsequent construction. The successful convening of this meeting marks the new stage of the construction of Shandong Province’s key laboratory for low-zero carbon fuel marine engines. In the future, the laboratory will give full play to its own advantages and develop more serialized products with significant market competitiveness and independent control, providing technical support for the national strategic goals of 'dual carbon strategy' and the development of Shandong's 'marine economy', and contributing scientific and technological strength to regional development and national strategies.
