Correct maintenance is an important guarantee to ensure the normal and reliable operation of the diesel engine and extend the service life of the diesel engine. Technical maintenance is divided into the following four categories:
1. Routine technical maintenance.
2. Technical maintenance after 125 working hours.
3. Technical maintenance after 500 working hours.
4. Technical maintenance after 1,000 working hours.
(1) Daily technical maintenance
1. Check whether each instrument is normal.
2. Check the oil pan and the oil level of the fuel injection pump.
3. Check the amount of oil in the fuel tank and check whether there is scale and water in the sedimentation cup. It needs to be disassembled and cleaned.
4. Deal with dust adhering to the air filter element, inner cavity channels, etc.
5. Check for possible water leaks, oil leaks, and air leaks.
6. Check whether the connections everywhere in the diesel engine are firm.
7. Clean away the mud on the surface and keep the diesel engine, especially the electrical equipment, clean. If flushing with water, be careful not to allow water to enter the interior of the diesel engine from the gear cover vent, oil dipstick seat hole, and air intake pipe hole.
8. Regularly add grease to the oil cup of the water pump.
9. Check the electrolyte level of the battery (it should be 10-20 mm higher than the thick protective plate), and use distilled water if necessary.
(2) Technical maintenance after 125 hours of working
In addition to repeating 'Daily Technical Maintenance', add the following items:
1. Clean the oil filter, diesel filter element, air filter element and fuel transfer pump filter.
2. Replace engine oil and oil filter.
3. Check drive belt tension.
4. Check the intake and exhaust valve clearance (check every 250 hours from the second 125 hours).
(3) Technical maintenance after 500 working hours
Repeat 'Except technical maintenance after 125 hours' and add the following items:
1. Check the injection pressure and atomization condition of the injector, and disassemble and clean the injector and accessories if necessary.
2. Check the oil supply in advance and make adjustments if necessary.
3. Check the water pump drain hole and water leakage, and replace the water seal when necessary.
4. Check the glow plug for oil leakage and whether the insulation is good.
5. Check the opening and closing of the thermostat.
6. Check the opening pressure of the oil filter pressure limiting valve and the working condition of the bypass valve, and adjust the pressure limiting valve if necessary.
7. Clean the fuel tank, fuel pump and fuel lines.
8. Replace the diesel filter element when necessary.
(4) Technical maintenance after 1,000 working hours
In addition to repeating 'Technical maintenance after 500 hours', add the following items:
1. Check the tightening and insurance conditions of connecting rod bolts and main bearing bolts.
2. Check the sealing condition of the intake and exhaust valves, and grind or reshape the valves if necessary.
3. Disassemble and inspect the starter motor and generator, and add grease to the bearings.
4. Comprehensively inspect all parts of the diesel engine and replace piston rings, main bearing bushes or connecting rod bushes if necessary.
5. The parts removed during maintenance work should be put back into their original places. After reassembly, run at idle speed to eliminate possible faults. After the diesel engine runs normally, it can be put into use.
