1. Preparations before starting:
(1) Check the flywheel anddynamoPart of the protective railing cover should be intact;
(2) Operators should have a clear division of labor, implement supervision, and wear insulating shoes;
(3) After sending the 'ready' signal to the electrical room staff to start driving, carefully check each gearbox, clutch, governor crankshaft control, oil level, and fastening screws of each part to confirm that they are correct, and check the oil and water temperature. It can only be started when the temperature is not lower than 20℃;
(4) The pipeline gates of each system should be in the working position;
(5) The connecting bolts of the transmission mechanism should be tightened well;
(6) Check whether the pressure of the gas storage bottle is normal and whether the overspeed safety device is positioned;
(7) Set the clutch handle to the start position and open the drain valve of the scavenger pump;
(8) Start the external circulation water pump, lubricating oil pump, and fuel pump. When the circulating water and oil pressure meet the requirements, one person operates and one person assists in starting.

2. Starting and running of diesel engine:
(1) If the machine is parked for more than 24 hours, the trial valve must be opened and the lubricating oil pump must be started. For generators and exciters that have been idle for a long time (usually seven days), the insulation resistance of the motor and operating circuit must be measured to meet the requirements. Turn the engine manually for 1 to 2 turns, start the motor freely and drive the diesel engine to idle for several turns to drain the oil and water in the cylinder, then close the trial valve before closing the front clutch;
(2) Start the fuel pump and release the air in the pipeline. The oil pressure should be within the specified range before it can be officially started;
(3) After checking whether the voltage of the starting power supply is normal, press the 'Start' button and release it after the diesel engine catches fire. When the lubricating oil pressure rises above the specified value, stop starting the lubricating oil pump. And close the scavenging pump drain valve and put on the front clutch pin;
(4) When it cannot be started, the reason should be carefully determined. If the reason is unknown, it should not be started again. It should not be started more than three times in succession, and the interval should not be less than 2 minutes. If it still cannot be started for the third time, it should be carefully analyzed and checked, and the fourth start should be allowed after the fault is confirmed and eliminated;
(5) After the generator is started, the generator and all electrical equipment are considered to be live, and the human body is strictly prohibited from contacting the live parts. If live work is required, the hazardous work approval system and electrician operating procedures should be followed;
(6) When adjusting the speed of the diesel engine, pay attention to whether the generator is running normally. The carbon brushes on the slip ring and commutator should have no beating, sparking, and abnormal noise. In addition, you must cooperate with electricians. Adjust frequency and voltage to bring them close to rated values;
(7) After receiving the 'ready to parallel' signal, the generator must operate normally and smoothly. And only when the frequencies are equal, the voltages are the same, the phases are the same, and the phase sequences are consistent can they work in parallel. When paralleling, refer to the synchronization table to further adjust the rotation speed and excitation. Increase the voltage and frequency to be close to the system voltage and frequency. When the automatic excitation is damaged and changed to manual, the load should not be too large, and the relevant working parameters should be monitored at any time. The parallel synchronization operation steps are as follows: 1) Close the knife switch of the generator outlet;
2) If it is a three-phase four-wire power supply generator, the neutral point grounding switch should be closed;
3) Close the synchronization indicator switch, check the phase sequence, and make further adjustments;
4) Carefully check the synchronization indicator signal. If it is basically synchronized, immediately turn on the main switch and send power to the system. When using an automatic quasi-synchronization device in parallel, refer to the instructions. When using manual quasi-synchronous parallel operation, if the synchronization meter is found to be beating (or not moving) and the synchronization indicator light flashes irregularly (or the brightness remains unchanged), closing and paralleling is not allowed;
(8) During normal operation, it is strictly forbidden to use the faulty parking switch or button, and it is strictly forbidden to wipe the unit. If the overspeed safety device of the diesel engine is found to be disengaged, the electrician should be notified to unload the load. After parking, restore the overspeed safety device to its original position, and then restart start up;
(9) Pay close attention to the working conditions of various operating instruments, protection devices, insulation monitoring and speed regulators;
(10) For gas tanks started with compressed air, the test pressure gauge and safety valve should be checked to see if they remain sensitive and reliable.

3． Parking and Maintenance:
(1) After receiving the 'ready to deload' signal, decelerate and unload. 'After decoupling' gradually slow down and cool down the machine, listen for any abnormal noise from the machine and determine its location and cause before stopping;
(2) Shut down the fuel pump during normal shutdown (failure shutdown or emergency shutdown may be used in special circumstances) and shut down the external circulation water pump;
(3) When parking for more than 1 hour, the vehicle must be dumped;
(4) After parking, perform maintenance according to operating conditions to keep the equipment in good condition and clean;
(5) Conduct a comprehensive inspection of all operating parts of the diesel engine at least once a week, and any problems found should be dealt with promptly.

4． Parking and Maintenance:
(1) Personnel on duty must stick to their posts, do their jobs well, listen, watch and check frequently, and strictly abide by operating procedures;
(2) Personnel on duty should carefully fill in the shift record. Problems in the operation of the unit should be dealt with on the shift and detailed written explanations should be given to the next shift. Report key issues in a timely manner;
(3) After using up the tools, inventory and location must be carried out, and the whereabouts of lost and forgotten tools and parts must be identified;
(4) Smoking is prohibited in the main computer room, the workplace should be kept sanitary, and measures should be taken to reduce noise.
