1. Preparation work before starting:
(1) Check that the flywheel and part of the protective railing cover of the generator should be intact;
(2) The operator should clearly divide the work, implement supervision, and wear insulated shoes;
(3) After sending a 'preparation' driving signal to the electrical room staff, carefully check the crankshaft control of each transmission, clutch, speed regulator, oil level, and each part of the tightening screws to confirm that it is correct and the oil and water temperature is not lower than 20℃ before starting;
(4) The pipeline gates of each system should be in the working position;
(5) The connecting bolts of the transmission mechanism should be well tightened;
(6) Check whether the pressure of the gas storage cylinder is normal and whether the overspeed safety device is positioned;
(7) Place the clutch handle in the starting position and open the sewage valve of the sweeping pump;
(8) Start the external circulation water pump, lubricant pump, and when the circulating water and oil pressure meet the requirements, one person operates and one person assists in starting.

2. Starting and operating the diesel engine:
(1) If the parking is stopped for more than 24 hours, the test valve must be opened and the lubricating oil pump must be started. If the generator is deactivated for a long time (usually for seven days), the exciter shall measure the insulation resistance of the motor and operating circuit to meet the requirements. Manually turn the rotating 1 to 2 turns, freely start the motor to drag the diesel engine to idle several turns to discharge the oil and water in the cylinder, then close the test valve to close the front clutch;
(2) Start the fuel pump and release the air in the pipeline, and the oil pressure should be within the specified range before it can be officially started;
(3) Check whether the voltage of the starting power supply is normal, press the 'Start' button and release it after the diesel engine catches fire. When the lubricating oil pressure rises above the specified value, stop starting the oil pump. And close the exhaust valve of the sweep air pump and put on the front clutch pin;
(4) When it cannot be started, the reason should be carefully determined. The reason should not be started again. The continuous start should not exceed three times, and the interval should not be less than 2 minutes. When the third time still cannot be started, carefully analyze and check it carefully, and after confirming the troubleshooting, the fourth start should be allowed;
(5) After the generator is started, it is believed that the generator and all electrical equipment are energized, and it is strictly forbidden for the human body to contact the live part. If live operations are required, the dangerous operation approval system and electrical operating procedures should be followed;
(6) When adjusting the speed of the diesel engine, attention should be paid to whether the generator is operating normally. The carbon brushes on the slip ring and the rectifier should not jump, spark, or abnormal sounds, and cooperation with electricians should be carried out. Adjust the frequency and voltage to get close to the rated value;
(7) When the signal is received, the generator must be run normally and smoothly. Moreover, only when the frequency is equal, the voltage is the same, the phase is the same, and the phase sequence is consistent can parallel work be carried out. When parallel, the synchronization table shall be used as the basis, further adjust the speed and the excitation shall be adjusted. Increase the voltage and frequency to close to the system voltage and frequency. When the automatic excitation is damaged and manual, the load should not be too large, and the relevant working parameters should be monitored at any time. The parallel synchronization operation steps are as follows: 1) Close the knife switch from the generator outlet;
2) If it is a three-phase and four-wire powered generator, the neutral point grounding knife switch should be closed;
3) Close the synchronization indicator switch, check the phase sequence, and further adjust;
4) Carefully check the synchronization indicator signal. If it is basically synchronized, close the main switch immediately and send power to the system. When using automatic quasi-simultaneous device when parallel, refer to the instructions. When using manual parallel operation, if the synchronization meter is found to be jumping (or not moving), the synchronization indicator light flashes without regularity (or the brightness remains unchanged), and the gate is not allowed to be closed and parallel;
(8) During normal operation, it is strictly forbidden to use a faulty parking switch or button, and it is strictly forbidden to wipe the unit. If the overspeed safety device of the diesel engine is found to be disconnected, the electrician should be notified to unload the load. After stopping, the overspeed safety will be restored to its original position and then started again;
(9) Pay close attention to the working conditions of various operating instruments, protection devices, insulation monitoring and speed regulators;
(10) For air tanks started with compressed air, the test pressure gauge and safety valve should be checked to maintain sensitivity and reliability.

3. Parking and maintenance:
(1) Receive the signal of 'prepare to decouple' and perform slow down and unload. 'After untraining,' the machine gradually slows down and cools down, listen to the machine sounds and determines its location and cause before stopping;
(2) Stop the fuel pump normally (if you can use faulty parking or emergency parking) and turn off the external circulation water pump;
(3) If the parking is more than 1 hour, the vehicle must be thrown away;
(4) After parking, maintain the equipment according to the operating conditions to keep the equipment good and clean;
(5) Conduct a comprehensive inspection of each operating part of the diesel engine at least once a week, and problems should be dealt with in a timely manner if they are found.

4. Parking and maintenance:
(1) The on-duty personnel must stick to their posts, do their jobs well, listen, watch, and inspect, and strictly abide by operating procedures;
(2) The on-duty personnel should carefully fill in the handover records. The problems in the operation of the unit must be dealt with on duty and a written explanation will be made to the next shift in detail. Key issues should be reported to timely;
(3) After using the tools, the location should be taken and the lost and forgotten tools and parts should be found out;
(4) Smoking is prohibited in the main room, the workplace should be kept hygienic, and measures should be taken to reduce noise.
