In order to prevent people from supplying water for daily life, the Yuqing Water Plant of Jinan's main water plant uses a diesel generator set composed of a combination of diesel engines and low-voltage generators as a replacement power supply to meet daily startup needs. It can also maintain a daily water supply of 120,000 tons in case of emergency to prevent large-scale water outages. It is reported that this is the first case in the country, which has successfully solved the problem of the power supply of Yuqing Water Plant and improved the urban water supply guarantee capacity.
In recent years, power supply problems have been plaguing Yuqing Water Plant. The voltage level of Yuqing Water Plant is 10KV. Currently, only Qianyu Line is one of the power sources of the water plant. The Qianyu Line cable is buried under the non-motorized vehicle road on the south side of Jingshi Road and is susceptible to external damage, causing the water plant to be powered and water outage, posing a hidden danger to Jinan's economic development and citizens' lives.
Recently, Hongquan Water Manufacturing Company invested more than 1.5 million yuan to purchase diesel engines and low-voltage generators to replace the second-road power supply solution of Yuqing Water Plant, and cooperated with Jinan Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. After investigation, it completed production, installation and commissioning work within three months. It used diesel engines to drag the water pump. It has been used abroad, but there is no precedent in the domestic water supply industry.
