The diesel generator set is a type of alternating power supply equipment for self-provided power stations. It is a small independent power generation equipment that uses internal combustion engines as power to drive synchronous alternating generators to generate power.
The modern diesel generator set consists of a diesel engine, a three-phase AC brushless synchronous generator, a control box (screen), a heat dissipation water tank, a coupling, a fuel tank, a muffler and a public base. The axial direction of the flywheel housing of the diesel engine and the front end cover of the generator are directly connected by shoulder positioning, and a cylindrical elastic coupling is used to directly drive the rotation of the generator by the flywheel. The coupling method is fixed together by screws, so that the two are connected into a steel body, ensuring that the concentricity between the crankshaft of the diesel engine and the generator rotor is within the specified range.
A diesel generator set is composed of an internal combustion engine and a synchronous generator. The power of the internal combustion engine is limited by the mechanical load and thermal load of the parts, and is called the rated power. The rated power of an AC synchronous generator refers to the rated power output during long-term continuous operation at a rated speed. Usually, the rated power output of the diesel engine and the rated power output of the synchronous alternator is called the matching ratio.

1. Overview
Diesel generator set is a small power generation equipment, which refers to a power machinery that uses diesel as fuel and uses diesel engine as prime mover to drive the generator to generate electricity. Diesel generator sets are generally composed of diesel engines, generators, control boxes, fuel tanks, starting and controlling battery, protection devices, emergency cabinets and other components. The whole can be fixed on the basis, positioned for use, or installed on a trailer for mobile use.
The diesel generator set is a non-continuous operation power generation equipment. If it runs continuously for more than 12 hours, its output power will be about 90% lower than the rated power.
Although the power of diesel generator sets is low, it is small, flexible, light, complete and easy to operate and maintain, so it is widely used in mines, railways, field construction sites, road traffic maintenance, as well as factories, enterprises, hospitals and other departments as backup power or temporary power supply. The newly developed unattended fully automatic emergency power station in recent years has further expanded the scope of use of this type of generator set.

2. Classification and specifications
Diesel generator sets are classified according to the generator output power, and the unit energy is from 10kW-750kW in various specifications. Each specification is divided into several structures: protection type (installed with overspeed, high water temperature, and low oil pressure protection devices), emergency type and mobile power station type. Among them, mobile power stations are divided into high-speed off-road types with speeds that can match the car's hourly speed and ordinary mobile types with low speeds.
3. Ordering precautions:
The export inspection of diesel generator sets is based on the relevant technical or economic indicators of the contract or technical agreement. When choosing and signing, users should pay attention to the following points:
(1) If the use environment conditions are different from the environmental conditions value of the diesel generator set calibration, the temperature, humidity and altitude values ​​should be stated during the signing of the contract to provide appropriate models and supporting equipment;
(2) Explain the cooling methods adopted during use, especially large-capacity units, and pay more attention to;
(3) In addition to the unit model, the model should also be explained;
(4) The voltage adjustment rate of the diesel generator set has rated voltages of 1%, 2%, and 2.5% respectively. The type of product should also be specified;
(5) During normal supply, appropriate amount of consumable parts should be provided, and if necessary, it should also be specified.
4. Inspection items and methods
Diesel generator sets are complete sets of products, including diesel engines, generators, control components, protection devices, etc. The whole machine inspection of exported products includes the following contents:
(1) Review of product technology and inspection data;
(2) Product specifications, model, and main structural dimensions;
(3) Overall appearance quality of the product;
(4) Unit performance: the main ones include technical parameter indicators, unit operation adaptability, reliability and sensitivity of various automatic protection devices;
(5) Other items stipulated in the contract or technical agreement.
