1. Antifreeze

When the indoor and outdoor temperatures are too low in winter, in order to ensure that the cooling system of the diesel generator is not frozen, the antifreeze temperature of commonly used generator antifreeze, that is, the freezing point is between minus 20 degrees to plus 45 degrees. , often reasonably selected according to the actual needs of different regions to meet the use requirements of Cummins generators.

2. Anti-boiling

Diesel generators are guaranteed not to boil prematurely at high temperatures. The boiling point of commonly used antifreeze is 104 to 108 degrees. When the antifreeze is added to the cooling system and generates pressure, the boiling point will be higher.

3. Anti-corrosion

The antifreeze in the generator set can reduce corrosion on the generator cooling system, thereby reducing water leakage problems caused by corrosion of the cooling system.

4. Anti-rust

Generator set antifreeze can prevent the cooling system from rusting. If the cooling system is rusted, it will cause accelerated engine wear and reduce the efficiency of diesel engine heat transfer.

5. Anti-scaling

Since the coolant is deionized water, the formation of scale and deposits is avoided, thus protecting the diesel engine.

If the antifreeze of the generator set cannot be replaced regularly, problems will arise: if the antifreeze is not replaced for a long time, the anti-corrosion, anti-rust and anti-scaling functions will be reduced, which may cause cooling system failure or even corrosion. Generally speaking, antifreeze is replaced every 1.5 to 2 years.
