Although the temperature has gradually dropped, the abnormal temperature of the generator set still needs to be paid attention to. As one of the questions frequently asked by customers, how does the abnormal high temperature failure of the generator set occur? Let’s take a look at the cause analysis by Haixing Power technicians, and find out the exact cause before taking countermeasures.
Generator setThe reasons for high temperature are as follows:
1. Overloaded work for a long time
If the diesel engine is overloaded for a long time, it will increase its fuel consumption and heat load, resulting in excessive water temperature. For this reason, long-term overload work should be avoided.
2. Insufficient coolant
If there is a lack of coolant in the diesel engine cooling system, it will affect the heat dissipation effect of the diesel engine and cause the diesel engine to be overheated. In this regard, the coolant stock in the radiator and expansion tank should be checked frequently and replenished in time when the liquid level is low.
3. Poor coolant circulation
Insufficient opening of the thermostat will reduce the heat dissipation capacity of the large circulation of the diesel engine cooling system. If the diesel engine is at high temperature, you can put the thermostat into water for heating inspection. Generally, the opening distance of the thermostat is 8 to 10 mm.
Reminder: Poor performance of the water pump will cause the coolant flow to decrease and cause the diesel engine to be overheated.
4. Heat dissipation devices interfere with each other
If the hydraulic oil radiator and the water radiator are placed one behind the other, when the temperature of the hydraulic oil is too high, the temperature of the cold air on the inlet side of the water radiator will inevitably be too high, affecting the heat dissipation of the water radiator. In this regard, the heat dissipation of the hydraulic system should be inspected and the impact of the hydraulic oil radiator on poor heat dissipation of the diesel engine water radiator should be reduced.
5. Debris attached to the surface of the radiator
Debris attached to the surface of the radiator will reduce the heat dissipation area of the radiator and the windward area of the radiator, resulting in a reduction in the heat dissipation capacity of the radiator and causing high temperatures in the diesel engine. 6. The fan belt is too loose or the fan is deformed.
If the fan belt is too loose, it will easily cause the fan speed to decrease, causing the radiator to be unable to exert its proper heat dissipation capacity, causing the diesel engine temperature to be too high. In addition, the deformation of the fan will also cause the heat dissipation capacity of the radiator to be unable to be fully exerted. In this regard, you should regularly check whether the diesel engine fan belt is loose and whether the fan shape is abnormal.
