When the diesel generator set arrives, where to install it is a question that many customers need to consider first. Haixing Power believes that everyone should think about two core issues: generator set installation site selection and exhaust design.
One of the initial design decisions is to determine whether the generator set is indoors or outdoors. The overall cost and installation convenience of the power system depend on the layout and physical location of the equipment - generator sets, fuel tanks, ventilation ducts and blinds, etc. Special attention should be paid to the ventilation of the generator set. Since the generator set consists of several parts: diesel engine, generator, and control system, sufficient oxygen is required to burn and do work during the engine operation, and the cooling system of the generator and engine also requires fan exhaust and cooling.
The air inlet and exhaust port should be placed on both sides of the computer room as much as possible, and the air flow direction should be from one side of the control box to the one side of the exhaust port. In addition, it should be considered that the exhaust gas generated during operation of the diesel engine also needs to be discharged outdoors. For some units placed in the basement, inlet and exhaust shafts should be installed to meet the operating requirements of the generator set. In order to reduce the noise and vibration during the operation of the generator set, shock absorbers and reinforced concrete foundations can be installed at the base of the generator set. For situations where noise requirements are relatively high, inlet and exhaust silencers can be installed on the inlet and exhaust air of the generator set, and noise reduction is performed on the walls and roof of the computer room.
Whether it is economical production or modern building facilities, diesel generator sets are important palace facilities. Only by reasonably designing the placement can the power supply effect of the equipment be exerted and the power supply system is more guaranteed.
