1. Check the indicating instruments of the diesel generator according to the prescribed time, and pay attention to whether the pressure of the lubricating oil and the water temperature have changed. The pressure of the lubricating oil shall not be lower than 150kPa, and the cooling water temperature shall not be higher than 95°C.

2. Check the diesel generator crankcase oil level, fuel tank oil level, and radiator water level. If they are lower than the normal level, they should be replenished.

3. Observe frequently whether the instruments and alarm indicators on the diesel generator power distribution panel are normal. When the red light is on, it indicates a fault, and when the green light is on, it indicates normal operation.

4. Check whether the charger is charging normally.

5. Listen to whether the operating sounds of each part of the unit are normal.

6. Hand-mold the body shell, bearing shell, oil pipes, and water pipes to see if the temperature is normal.

7. Pay attention to whether the diesel generator or electrical equipment has any odor such as burning.

8. If any adverse situation is found, it should be dealt with immediately; in serious cases, the machine should be shut down for processing.

9. In case of shutdown due to fault, the fault must be eliminated and then the repeat button on the diesel generator can be pressed before the diesel generator can resume operation.

10. Record each operating parameter no less than twice per shift.

During the operation of the diesel generator set, it is not only necessary to carefully follow the steps, but also to perform frequent inspections and records, so that the bad conditions of the unit can be discovered in time.
