GB2820-2009 is equivalent to standard ISO8528 and is divided into four powers according to the usage requirements:

1. ESP, emergency backup power
2, LTP, limited-time operation power
3, PRP, basic power
4, COP, continuous power

emergency backup power (ESP)

. Emergency backup power is defined as: maintenance is carried out under agreed operating conditions and according to the maintenance intervals and methods specified by the manufacturer. When the public power grid fails or under test conditions, the generator set operates for 200 hours per year.

The allowed average output power (Ppp) during the 24-hour operation period shall not exceed 70% of the ESP unless otherwise specified by the reciprocating internal combustion (RIC) machine manufacturer.

Limited time operation power

Limited time operation power is defined as: the maximum power of the generator set to power up to 500 hours per year under agreed operating conditions and in accordance with the maintenance intervals and methods specified by the manufacturer.

Note: The operating time according to the limited-time operating power (LTP) shall not exceed 500 hours per year.

Basic Power

Basic Power is defined as the maximum power that the generator set can continuously power the variable load without limiting the annual operating time under agreed operating conditions and in accordance with the manufacturer's specified maintenance intervals and methods.

The permissible average output power (Ppp) within a 24-hour cycle should not exceed 70% of the PRP unless otherwise specified by the reciprocating internal combustion (RIC) machine manufacturer.

Note: Continuous power (COP) may be used when the required permissible Ppp is greater than the specified value.

Continuous Power (COP)

Continuous Power is defined as the maximum power that the generator set continuously supplies constant power to a constant load under agreed operating conditions and in accordance with the manufacturer's specified maintenance intervals and methods.
