Some users reported that when the generator set start switch is pressed, the unit itself has a response, but the crankshaft cannot rotate, which causes the entire unit to fail to start. Haixing reminds everyone that it is necessary to consider whether it is caused by a crankshaft mechanical failure.
There are many reasons for crankshaft failure, mainly three. You can check and find out the root cause.
1. Poor meshing between the unit and the flywheel teeth. The ring gear and the starter gear will impact when starting the engine, causing damage to the teeth or wear on one side of the teeth. If the teeth are damaged or worn seriously for more than three consecutive years, it will be difficult for the starter gear to mesh with the ring gear teeth.
2. Stick the cylinder. When the engine temperature is too high, the engine stops and turns off, making it difficult to dissipate heat. The piston ring at high temperature is stuck to the cylinder and cannot be started after cooling.
3. Crankshaft lock. Due to a faulty lubrication system or lack of oil, the sliding bearings are caused to dry friction, resulting in the crankshaft being locked and unable to start.
If the unit cannot start after pressing the start switch, do not press the switch hard. If you find a mechanical failure of the crankshaft, you need to check the cause one by one, find out the problem as soon as possible and solve it, so as not to affect the entire work process.
