The abnormal noise of the generator set may be a sign of problems within the equipment. How do we determine the source of the noise and then confirm the faulty components? Haixing has compiled several common component noise characteristics and simple reasons for easy review.

1. Exhaust noise: Exhaust is a high-temperature and high-speed pulsating airflow noise. The main components of exhaust noise are as follows: low-frequency pulsating noise caused by periodic smoke exhaust, air column resonance noise in the smoke exhaust pipeline, Helmholtz resonance noise in the cylinder, and noise generated when high-speed airflow passes through the valve gap and bent pipeline.

2. Mechanical noise: Mechanical noise is usually caused by the sensation or impact of each other caused by the periodic changes of gas pressure and motion inertia forces during operation.

3. Incineration noise: Incineration noise is the layout sensation and noise that occurs during the incineration process of diesel.

4. Cooling fan and exhaust noise: The unit fan noise is composed of eddy current noise and rotation noise, usually caused by vibration of the external system. Rotating noise is caused by periodic disturbances in the air flow of the fan blades; eddy current noise occurs when the air flow separates on the cross section of the rotating blades.

The above is just the judgment of common noise sources introduced by Haixing. There are other types and manifestations of the noise of the equipment. In the process of operations, we will gradually accumulate complete information. You may as well inform Haixing of various noise situations and organize them and share them with more people in need.
