Common electrical control problems in generator sets

Generator setElectrical control problems are minor faults that we often encounter during operation. Haixing gives you several real cases below to help you understand the causes of faults and solutions.

1. When the key is turned to 'START', the diesel generator set does not start
1. Check whether the key switch operates well
2. Check whether there is any fault indication, repair the fault and reset it
3. Check the battery voltage. If the voltage is too low, you need to recharge the battery until it is full. If the voltage is normal, you need to gradually check whether the voltage signal can be correctly sent to the control links, such as the throttle solenoid valve and starter motor.
4. Check whether the emergency stop button has been relaxed

2. When the 'START' signal is input correctly, manual/automatic cannot be started.

1. Check the fuel level and ensure that the oil pipe is correctly connected
2. For mechanical speed control system units, check whether the throttle solenoid valve can be properly closed.
3. For electronic speed control system units, check whether the EPG power supply is correctly connected and whether the voltage is normal.
4. For electronic speed control system units, when starting the motor, use an electric meter to measure whether the MPU has a correct AC voltage signal.
5. Check whether the unit speed has reached or exceeded the set normal starting speed.
6. Check whether the fuel delivery system is blocked
7. Check whether the air filter is blocked
8. For units in cold areas, ensure that the unit is preheated before starting.

4. High water temperature fault alarm/shutdown

3. Check the tightness of the fan belt
4. After the standby unit is completely cooled, check whether the cooling water level is sufficient.
5. Check whether the water temperature sensor is damaged

7. Check whether the gap between the water pump and the water tank is correct
8. Confirm that the temperature in the computer room is not higher than 40℃
