Repair of damaged generator unit body

1. Freeze crack. This is damage that is prone to occur on diesel engines in winter. Cracks in the body can only be repaired by cold welding in parts that are not stressed. First, drill anti-crack holes at both ends of the crack, then plant a number of iron nails along the crack, and then use several pieces of patching plates perpendicular to the direction of the crack, and use low-carbon steel welding rods to weld firmly along the crack and the patching plate. Pay attention to tapping the welding seam lightly with a small hammer while welding, and then correct it with a flame after all welding is completed.

2. The 205 bearing holes at the upper and lower balance shaft ends are worn. This situation must be repaired immediately. When the bearing hole is lightly worn, it can be repaired by enlarging the outer circle of the 205 bearing. Use oxygen welding to symmetrically point the steel wire at a small point on the outer ring of the bearing, correct it with a file, and then press it into the bearing hole before use. Another method is to use a 2 mm thick iron plate to make a large flat pad with an inner hole of 50 mm, make three wire holes in the flat pad and the body, and fix it with flat head screws. When the bearing hole is severely worn, the original hole of the insert bushing can be bored out, and three small wire holes can be made at the joint between the inserted bushing and the body and fixed with screws.

3. The cylinder head bolt hole is slippery or damaged. This situation is caused by excessive force when tightening the cylinder head nut or tampering with the cylinder. If it is a slip thread in an individual thread hole, the thread can be re-modified and a cylinder head bolt matching the thread hole can be processed. If the wire hole is damaged or multiple wire holes slip, it cannot be repaired.

4. Trachoma. First use a steel tap to expand the hole, and then plug it with aluminum wire or spot welding.
