New or long-term unused generators must undergo strict inspection before being put into normal operation, mainly checking the winding insulation condition, wiring condition, etc. If there are any discrepancies, they will be dealt with. After the diesel engine is started, slowly increase the speed. After checking and confirming that it is in good condition, it can run at no-load from low speed to rated speed. When running without load, focus on checking the engine oil pressure, whether there is any abnormal noise, excitation current, three-phase voltage changes, etc. If there is any abnormality - stop the machine immediately for inspection. After finding out the situation, start again. If normal, it can be put into normal operation. The operator should closely monitor the changes in the instruments on the control panel to see if they are within the permitted range and make corresponding adjustments.
During operation, operators should keep a safe distance from live equipment and wear labor protection equipment. Pay attention to the order of switching operation. If there is a power outage, you should first disconnect each branch switch, then disconnect the main switch, and then switch the four-pole double-throw knife switch position. When powering on, the sequence is reversed. For normal shutdown, part of the load should be removed first, then the main switch should be turned off, and then the diesel engine should be shut down. It is not allowed to fail to turn off the main switch, and the power will be cut off automatically when the diesel engine stalls. After shutdown, conduct routine inspections of the unit and record the operation status.
In case someone gets an electric shock, the power switch should be turned off quickly, or an insulating device should be used to quickly cut off or disconnect the power supply. Then carry out rescue and invite doctors to come to the scene for rescue. In the event of a flood to electrical equipment, the relevant power supply should be cut off immediately and reported to the local power supply station, and then fire fighting should be carried out. Dry fire extinguishers, carbon dioxide fire extinguishers, etc. should be used to put out fires on live equipment. Water is not allowed.
New or newly overhauled diesel units must undergo 60 hours of running-in operation as required, and must undergo corresponding maintenance.
