There are clear regulations on the water temperature of diesel generator sets , but many people do not follow the regulations in actual operation, resulting in too high or too low water temperature, which will have a great adverse impact on the life of the unit. Generally speaking, as long as the water temperature does not exceed 95℃, there will be no cavitation, and the cooling water (liquid) will not be interrupted. On the contrary, if the water temperature is too low, it will be extremely harmful to the operation of the diesel engine.
First, the temperature is low, the combustion conditions of diesel in the cylinder deteriorate, the fuel atomization is poor, the combustion period after ignition increases, the engine work is prone to roughness, aggravation of damage to crankshaft bearings, piston rings and other components, reducing power and economicality.
Second, the combustion water vapor is prone to condense on the cylinder wall, causing metal corrosion.
Third, the diesel coming to burn may dilute the engine oil, causing the lubrication to become worse.
Fourth, the fuel is not completely burned and forms a glue, causing the piston ring to get stuck in the piston ring groove, the valve is stuck, and the pressure in the cylinder is reduced when the compression is finished.
Fifth, the water temperature is too low, the engine oil temperature is also low, the engine oil becomes thicker, the fluidity becomes worse, the oil pump pump is low, resulting in insufficient oil supply, and the crankshaft bearing clearance becomes smaller, and poor lubrication is poor
