on the marketGenerator setThere are many brands. Whether using naturally aspirated or supercharged units, manufacturers emphasize that low-load/no-load operating time should be minimized and stipulate that the minimum load cannot be less than 25%-30% of the rated power of the unit. Haixing will tell you the principle below.

When the diesel generator set operates under a small load, as the running time continues, the following faults will occur:

1. For supercharged diesel units, due to low load, no load, and low boost pressure, the sealing effect of the supercharger oil seal (non-contact type) is easily reduced.

2. If the oil in the supercharging chamber of the supercharger accumulates to a certain extent, it will leak out from the joint surface of the supercharger.

3. Part of the oil that flows up to the cylinder participates in combustion, while part of the oil cannot be completely burned and forms carbon deposits on the valves, intake passages, piston tops, piston rings, etc., and some of the oil is discharged with the exhaust. In this way, engine oil will gradually accumulate in the exhaust passage of the cylinder liner, and carbon deposits will also form.

4. Long-term low-load operation will lead to more serious consequences such as increased wear of moving parts, deterioration of the engine combustion environment, etc., leading to an earlier overhaul period.
