For a generator powered by a diesel engine, the operation of its engine part is carried out in accordance with the relevant regulations of the internal combustion engine.
Before starting the generator, you must carefully check whether the wiring of each part is correct, whether the connecting part is firm, whether the brushes are normal, whether the pressure meets the requirements, and whether the grounding wire is good.
Before starting, place the resistance value of the excitation rheostat at the maximum position, turn off the output switch, and the motor unit with a clutch should disconnect the clutch. Start the diesel engine at no load first, and then start the generator after running smoothly.
When the generator starts to operate, you should always pay attention to whether there are any mechanical noises, abnormal vibrations, etc. After confirming that the situation is normal, adjust the generator to the rated speed, adjust the voltage to the rated value, then close the output switch and supply power to the outside. The load should be gradually increased and three-phase balance should be strived for.
The generator must be run in parallel with the same frequency, voltage, phase and phase sequence.

The generator during operation should pay close attention to the sound of the engine and observe whether the various instrument indications are within the normal range. Check whether the operating part is normal and whether the generator temperature rise is too high. And keep running records.
When stopping, first reduce the load, return the excitation rheostat to reduce the voltage to the minimum value, and then turn off the switch in sequence to stop the diesel engine from running.
If a diesel engine running in parallel needs to be parked due to a decrease in load, the load of the generator that needs to be parked should be transferred to the generator that continues to operate, and then the parking method is stopped by a single generator. If you need to stop all the cars, first cut off the load and then shut down the machine according to a single generator.
For mobile generators, the underframe must be parked on a stable foundation before use, and they must not be moved during operation.
When the generator is running, even if it is not excited, it should be considered to have voltage. It is prohibited to work on the rotating generator lead wire or touch the rotor with your hands or clean it. The generator in operation shall not be covered with canvas or other objects.
After the generator is inspected, carefully check whether there are tools, materials and other debris between the rotor and stator slots to damage the generator during operation.
The electrical equipment in the computer room must be reliably grounded.
It is prohibited to stack debris and flammable and explosive items in the computer room. Except for the on-duty personnel, other personnel are prohibited from entering without permission.
