In cold areas or winter, runGenerator setThe big problem is the water cycle. Many customers ignore such details, so Jiangsu Haixing Power takes care of them for everyone. fromGenerator setComprehensive analysis from cooler water selection to maintenance.
1. The unit cooler water usually uses clean 'soft water'. Soft water is usually rainwater, snow water, river water, etc. This water contains few minerals and is suitable for engine use. Well water, spring water and tap water have high mineral content. These minerals are easily deposited on the water tank wall, water jacket and water channel wall when heated to form scale and rust, which deteriorates the engine's heat dissipation ability and easily causes the engine to overheat. The water added must be clean. Impurities contained in the water will block the water channels and aggravate the wear of the water pump impeller and other components. If hard water is used, it must be softened in advance. The softening methods usually include heating and adding lye (usually caustic soda).
2. Note: Do not start the machine first and then add water. In order to facilitate starting in winter, or because the water source is far away, individual drivers often start the vehicle first and then add water. This method is very harmful. After the engine is started dry, because there is no cooling water in the body, the engine parts heat up rapidly, especially the cylinder head and the water jacket outside the diesel engine's injector. If cooling water is added at this time, the cylinder head and water jacket will It is easy to crack or deform due to sudden cooling. When the engine temperature is too high, the engine load should be removed first and then idling at low speed. When the water temperature is normal, add cooling water.
3. Idle the engine after draining the water in cold winter. In the cold winter, after draining the cooling water from the engine, you should start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes. This is mainly because some water may remain in parts such as the water pump after draining the water. After starting again, the body temperature can dry out the water pump and other parts. of residual moisture to ensure that there is no water in the engine to prevent water leakage caused by freezing of the water pump and tearing of the water seal.
4. Water should be heated in cold areas or winter. Cold weather makes it difficult to start the engine. If cold water is added before starting, it is easy to freeze in the water tank lower chamber and water inlet pipe during the water filling process or when the water is added but fails to be started in time, causing the water to be unable to circulate and even cause the engine to freeze. The water tank burst. Adding hot water can, on the one hand, increase the temperature of the engine to facilitate starting; on the other hand, it can try to avoid the above-mentioned freezing phenomenon.
5. When 'opening the pot', prevent burns. After the water tank is 'opened', do not blindly open the water tank cover to prevent burns. The correct approach is: idle for a while before turning off the engine. Wait until the engine temperature drops and the water tank pressure drops before unscrewing the water tank cap. When unscrewing, cover the lid with a towel or car rag to prevent hot water and steam from spraying on your face and body. Never point your head directly at the water tank and look down. Remove your hands quickly after unscrewing it. When there is no heat or steam, remove the water tank cover to prevent burns.
6. Antifreeze must be of good quality. The quality of antifreeze on the market currently varies, and many of them are shoddy. If the antifreeze does not contain preservatives, it will seriously corrode the engine cylinder head, water jacket, radiator, water blocking ring, rubber parts and other components. At the same time, a large amount of scale will be produced, which will cause poor engine heat dissipation and cause engine overheating failure. Therefore, it is necessary to choose products from regular manufacturers.
7. Replenish soft water in time. After filling the water tank with antifreeze, if you find that the liquid level in the water tank has dropped, you only need to add clean soft water (distilled water is better) on the premise of ensuring that there is no leakage, because ethylene glycol is generally used. The boiling point of type antifreeze is high, and what evaporates is the water in the antifreeze. There is no need to replenish antifreeze but only soft water. It is worth mentioning: Never add unsoftened hard water.
8. Drain antifreeze in time to reduce corrosion.
Whether it is ordinary antifreeze or long-lasting antifreeze, it should be released in time when the temperature becomes high, so as to prevent corrosion of enlarged parts. Because the preservatives added to the antifreeze will gradually reduce or become invalid as the use time increases, and even worse, some simply do not add preservatives, which will have a strong corrosive effect on the mechanical parts, so it should Release the antifreeze in time according to the temperature conditions, and clean the cooling pipeline after releasing the antifreeze.
9. Change water and clean pipes regularly. Frequent replacement of cooling water is not recommended because after a period of use, the minerals in the cooling water have precipitated. Unless the water is very dirty and may clog the pipes and radiators, do not replace it easily because even if the newly replaced cooling water passes through It has been softened, but it still contains minerals. These minerals will be deposited in the water jacket and other places to form scale. The more frequently the water is replaced, the more minerals will be precipitated and the thicker the scale will be. Therefore, it should be replaced regularly according to the actual situation. cooling water. The cooling pipeline should be cleaned during replacement. The cleaning solution can be prepared with caustic soda, kerosene and water. At the same time, maintain each drain switch, especially before winter. Replace damaged switches in time. Do not replace them with bolts, wooden sticks, rags, etc.
10. Open the water tank cover when discharging water. If you do not open the water tank cover when discharging water, although a part of the cooling water can flow out, as the amount of water in the radiator decreases, a vacuum will be generated due to the closed water tank, which will slow down or stop the water flow. , in winter, the parts are frozen due to unclean water discharge.
11. It is not advisable to release water immediately when the temperature is high. Before the engine stalls, if the engine temperature is very high, do not stop the engine immediately to drain the water. You should first remove the load and let it run at idle speed. Wait until the water temperature drops to 40-50°C before draining the water. Prevent the cylinder block, cylinder head, and water in contact with the water from leaking. The outer surface temperature of the sleeve suddenly drops due to the sudden release of water and shrinks sharply. However, the temperature inside the cylinder is still very high and the shrinkage is small. It is easy to cause cracks in the cylinder block and cylinder head due to the excessive temperature difference between the inside and outside.
