Generators used outdoors often encounter rainy weather. If protective measures are not taken, the generators will easily be exposed to rain. If repair and care are not done in time, it will soon be corroded, corroded, causing damage. Depending on the degree of rain, suitable maintenance methods can be selected. Jiangsu Haixing Power Technology Company summarizes the 'Maintenance Measures for Outdoor Generators After Rain' to help customers solve problems.
1. Rinse the surface of the diesel engine with water to remove soil and debris, and then use metal cleaning agent or washing powder to remove oil stains on the surface.
2. Support one end of the diesel engine so that the oil drain part of the oil pan is at the lowest position. Rotate the oil drain screw plug and pull out the oil ruler so that the water in the oil pan flows out by itself. When it is about to release the oil, slightly let the oil and water be released together and then rotate the oil drain screw plug.
3. Remove the air filter of the generator set, remove the filter upper case, remove the filter element and other components, remove the water in the filter, and clean each part with metal cleaning agent or diesel. If the filter is plastic foam, it should be washed with washing powder or soapy water (no gasoline), then rinse and dry with clean water, and then soak with appropriate amount of engine oil (suffle it with your hands and squeeze it dry). When replacing a new filter, oil immersion should be carried out. The filter element is paper, and it should be replaced with a new one. After cleaning and drying of all parts of the filter, install them according to regulations.
4. Remove the inlet and exhaust pipes and mufflers to remove internal water storage. Turn on the decompression and shake the diesel engine to see if there is water discharged from the inlet and exhaust ports. If there is water discharge, continue to shake the crankshaft until all the water in the cylinder is discharged. Install the inlet, exhaust pipe and muffler, add a little engine oil to the air inlet, tilt the crankshaft for several turns, and then install an air filter. If the diesel engine has a long water inlet and the flywheel is difficult to rotate, it means that the cylinder liner and piston ring are already rusted. It should be removed and removed, cleaned and then assembled. If the rust is serious, it should be replaced in time.
5. Remove the oil tank and drain all the oil and water in it. Check whether there is water in the diesel filter and oil pipe. If there is water, it should be drained. Clean the oil tank and diesel filter, then replace it with the original place, connect the oil circuit, and add clean diesel to the oil tank.
6. Release the sewage in the water tank and waterway, clean the waterway, add clean river water or boiled well water until the water float rises. Turn on the throttle switch and start the diesel engine. After starting the diesel engine, pay attention to the rise of the engine oil indicator and listen to whether there is any abnormal noise from the diesel engine. After checking whether all parts are normal, the diesel engine is run-in. When running in, the running-in sequence is first idle, then medium speed, and then high speed, and the running time is 5 minutes each. After running-in, stop the machine and release the oil. Add new oil again, start the diesel engine, run it at medium speed for 5 minutes, and then use it normally.
