Parts that should not be maintained with butter in the generator set

Butter (lubricating oil) is widely used in diesel engines. It can protect the body, but cannot be abused, otherwise it will have adverse consequences and may even have counterproductive effects and damage the body. Butter can play a role in lubrication and corrosion protection, but Haixing Power Technology Company here wants to tell you that some parts of diesel generator sets are not suitable for butter.
1. Buttered dry cylinder liner of diesel The reason is that when the engine is operating and heating up to normal temperature, the cylinder liner will expand by heat, and the cylinder base hole is less expanded due to the low temperature of cooling water. The outer surface of the dry cylinder liner is tightly attached to the seat hole to conduct heat dissipation. The surface of the cylinder liner is coated with butter hinders good contact between the two surfaces, making it impossible to dissipate heat normally. generator set will cause the diesel engine to overheat and affect normal operation.
2. Buttering the cylinder head and cylinder gasket to enhance the sealing is not worth the cost. After the cylinder head nut is tightened, part of the butter will be wasted out of the cylinder, and part of the butter will be squeezed into the cylinder. When the diesel engine is working, this part of the butter will be burned into charcoal at high temperature and accumulate on the top of the cylinder piston, etc. After the temperature of the diesel engine increases, a layer of oil film between the cylinder head and cylinder gasket, cylinder head and cylinder body surface will melt and disappear due to the increase in temperature, causing the cylinder head nut to loosen, causing air leakage and oil leakage, which may cause damage to the air cushion. It may also be due to the high temperature and the butter coke, making the cylinder head and cylinder gasket difficult to disassemble.
