1: Low oil pressure
During the operation of the unit, low oil pressure will cause poor lubrication of the transmission components of the unit. If the oil circuit is blocked, cylinder pulling, cylinder holding, and excessive bearing clearance will occur, which directly affects the normal use of the Cummins generator set.
(1) Cooling system: The oil cooler is clogged; the external gap of the radiator core is blocked.
(2) Lubrication system: The oil filter is dirty; the oil suction pipe is blocked; the oil pressure regulator fails.
(3) Mechanical adjustment and repair; improper bearing clearance; engine needs overhaul; main bearing or connecting rod bearing damaged.
(4) Use and maintenance: The engine is overloaded; the oil must be replaced on time and the oil filter must be used correctly. Only by following correct maintenance methods can the normal use of Cummins generator sets be guaranteed.

2: The coolant is not circulating
When the unit is running, we often encounter situations where the coolant does not circulate, including large circulation but no small circulation, or small circulation but no large circulation, which causes the unit to have a rapid rise in cylinder temperature and oil temperature, resulting in sudden Shutdowns and other phenomena directly affectCummins generator setof use.
There are several reasons why the coolant does not circulate:
(1) The radiator fins are blocked or damaged. The cooling fan does not work or the radiator fins are clogged, which prevents the coolant temperature from falling, and the radiator fins are rusted, causing fluid leakage and poor circulation.
(2) Thermostat failure. A thermostat is installed in the engine combustion chamber to control the temperature of the engine combustion chamber. The thermostat must be opened at the specified temperature (82 degrees) to facilitate small circulation. (3) There is air mixed in the cooling system of the unit, causing the pipeline to be blocked. At this time, you should always check whether their pressure values ​​comply with the regulations. The suction pressure is 10kpa, the exhaust pressure is 40kpa. In addition, whether the exhaust pipeline is smooth is also an important factor affecting the circulation.
(4) The coolant level is too low or does not meet the regulations. If the liquid level is too low, it will directly cause the coolant temperature to rise and prevent the coolant from circulating. The coolant is 50% antifreeze + 50% softened water + DCA4 according to regulations. If it does not meet the regulations, it will cause the pipeline to be blocked and produce gas in the pipe wall. Rust prevents coolant from circulating properly.
(5) Water pump failure. Check whether the water pump works well. If it is found that the water pump transmission gear shaft is worn beyond the limit, it means that the water pump is no longer working and needs to be replaced before the cycle can be normal.
