Following the post ' How to control the noise outside the generator room? 'Q&A' 'Since the post is published, companies have gained a wide understanding of the noise-silencer room, but some customers still have questions about the construction of the computer room. 'How to choose a location? How to establish a ventilation system for the generator room? How to reduce the impact of noise?'. Therefore, Jiangsu Haixing Power Technology explained to everyone the points to consider when designing a generator set room:
1.
When choosing the location of the generator set in the generator set for concrete foundation, at least one meter of air flow space should be left on the four sides of it to facilitate maintenance work.
The unit can be directly installed on a piece of concrete with smooth surface, the foundation should be 150-2000mm higher than the ground plane, and the actual height and dimensions should be determined according to the model of the unit.
2. Ventilation system
The ventilation system in the computer room directly affects the reliable operation of the rated power output of the generator set. Enough inlet and exhaust area to avoid short-circuit inlet and exhaust air, straighten the air flow direction, and exit the other heat sources of the design room (i.e., smoke exhaust pipes and boilers without insulation). Note: Different engines require different requirements, 2 strokes require more air.
3. The vibration isolation and noise cancellation
generator set in the computer room need to be isolated to prevent premature damage. The cable should be softly connected.
The main noise sources include: intake system, exhaust gas turbocharger, combustion noise, cooling fan and sub-vibration. The noise generated and the distance of the propagation depends on the surrounding noise level. It is difficult for most people to distinguish the two noise sources of 3dB (A) difference, but the difference of 6dB (A) is twice the noise intensity, and high-frequency noise is easy to hear. The test requires that the ambient noise is less than at least 10dB (A) of the generator set. If the system is too noisy, it may exceed the scope permitted by local regulations.
Noise cancellation measures Local regulations usually stipulate that noise limits in residential areas to 40~50dB (A). Because after-treatment is very expensive, the noise problem of adjacent generator sets needs to be planned in advance. When the generator set is in operation, the computer room requires facilities to protect hearing, and the noise should meet the OSHA standards. The noise source should be isolated from the recipient, establish practical goals, measure and predict noise levels, and evaluate noise cancellation requirements.
Measures for on-site noise cancellation are:
① Increase the acceptance distance. According to rapid estimates, the distance increases by 2 times and the noise decreases by 6dB (A).
② Add high-density sound-absorbing materials to change the noise direction and pay attention to the harder reflective surface. According to a quick estimate, 2 same reflective walls will add noise by 3dB (A).
4.
The near area of the distance of the computer room unit: a noise field with a distance greater than 2 times, and the noise level varies greatly;
free area: an estimated noise level - a 2-fold decrease in distance by 6dB (A);
reflective area: a free area, adjacent to the reflection area.
In short, the construction of generator set room is to isolate the unit.
