Following'How to control the noise outside the generator room? 'Questions and Answers''Since the post was posted, companies have generally gained a general understanding of silenced computer rooms, but there are still customers who have questions about the construction of computer rooms. 'How to choose a location? How to createGenerator setVentilation system in the computer room? How to reduce the impact of noise? '. So Jiangsu Haixing Power Technology explains the design to everyoneGenerator setSeveral points to consider in the computer room:
1. Concrete foundation
When choosing the location of the generator set in the generator room, leave at least one meter of air flow space on all four sides to facilitate maintenance work.
The unit can be directly installed on a smooth concrete foundation. The foundation should be 150-2000mm higher than the ground level. The actual height and size should be determined according to the model of the unit.
2. Ventilation system
The ventilation system of the machine room directly affects the reliable operation of the rated power output of the generator set. Sufficient air inlet and exhaust area to avoid short circuit of air inlet and exhaust, straighten the air flow direction, exhaust air return area, direct in and out of other heat sources in the design machine room (i.e. uninsulated exhaust pipes, boilers). NOTE: Different engines have different needs, 2 strokes require more air.
3. Machine room isolation and noise reduction
The swing of the generator set requires vibration isolation to prevent premature damage. Cables should be softly connected.
The main noise sources include: air intake system, exhaust gas turbocharger, combustion noise, cooling fan and secondary vibration. The size and propagation distance of noise depends on the surrounding noise level. Most people have difficulty distinguishing two noise sources with a 3dB (A) difference in sound. However, a 6dB (A) difference is twice the noise intensity. High-frequency noise is easy to hear. , the test requires that the ambient noise is at least 10dB(A) less than the generator set. If the system is too noisy, it may exceed the limits allowed by local regulations.
Noise reduction measures. Local regulations usually stipulate that noise in residential areas is limited to 40~50dB(A). Since post-processing is very expensive, noise problems from adjacent generating units need to be planned in advance. When the generator set is running, the machine room is required to have hearing protection facilities, and the noise should meet OSHA standards. Noise sources should be isolated from receivers, practical goals should be established, noise levels should be measured and predicted, and noise reduction needs should be assessed.
On-site noise reduction measures include:
①Increase the receiving distance. According to a quick estimate, the distance increases by 2 times and the noise decreases by 6dB(A).
② Add high-density sound-absorbing materials to change the direction of noise and pay attention to harder reflective surfaces. A quick estimate is that 2 identical reflective walls will increase the noise by 3dB(A).
4. Influence of distance between computer rooms and units
Near area: noise field with a distance greater than 2 times, and the noise level changes greatly;
Free area: Estimated noise level - 6dB (A) reduced by 2 times the distance;
Reflective area: Free area, adjacent to the reflective area.
In short, the construction of the generator room is to isolate the unit.
