Biogas is a combustible gas obtained by fermenting organic matter (swamp gas, mud gas). Natural gas is a mineral that is mined deep underground. The by-product of oil mining is generally natural gas. From the source point of view, biogas is not natural gas. However, the components of both are the same, both are methane (CH4).
The main raw material of biogas is biomass, and a large number of biogas resources can be used by breeding farms, food factories, brewing enterprises, sewage treatment plants, garbage treatment plants and other enterprises. The comprehensive utilization of biogas helps to reduce the greenhouse effect and virtuous ecological cycle, and can replace some energy such as oil and coal. At present, there are more than 1,000 large and medium-sized biogas projects in my country, with an annual biogas production of about 260 million cubic meters. Biogas is a closed anaerobic fermentation of some organic matter, which will contain part of the biogas and then be collected. Nowadays, most enterprises with high COD content in domestic waste or sewage have sufficient biogas. Then, let’s start with the components of biogas. The components in biogas are very mixed, and the methane content is relatively high. Moreover, methane is a combustible gas and has a relatively high calorific value. The collected biogas is burned through the engine of the generator set, which is the form of an internal combustion engine. The rotor winding of the generator is driven by the torque after work to complete the power generation process.
