3. Methods for handling abnormal sounds

1. Rub the rotor against the stator insulating paper or groove wedge;

4. Cleaning treatment

1. When maintaining the Mercedes-Benz generator set, it must be performed under shutdown, and the negative cable of the unit start battery must be removed to ensure that the unit does not start by mistake.

2. The interior and exterior of the alternator should be cleaned regularly, and the frequency of cleaning depends on the environment of the unit. Disconnect all power before cleaning, wipe off all dust, dirt, oil stains, water or any liquid on the surface, and clean the ventilation net, because these things enter the coil, which will overheat the coil or damage the insulation. Try to vacuum the dust and dirt with a vacuum cleaner, and do not use blow air or high-pressure water spray to clean it.
