everyone'sGenerator setIf the equipment is not treated in time after large-scale water intrusion, it will cause great damage to the equipment and accelerate the occurrence of rust and corrosion. Therefore, Haixing recommends that everyone understand the relevant routine maintenance methods.
1. Rinse the surface of the diesel engine with water to remove dirt and debris, and then use metal cleaner or washing powder to remove oil stains on the surface.
2. Support one end of the diesel engine so that the oil drain part of the oil pan is at the lowest position. Unscrew the oil drain plug and pull out the oil dipstick to allow the water in the oil pan to flow out on its own. When it reaches the point where the oil is about to be drained, the oil should be allowed to drain slightly. Drain some of it together with water and screw on the oil drain plug.
3. Remove the air filter, remove the filter upper shell, take out the filter element and other components, remove the water in the filter, and clean the parts with metal cleaner or diesel. The filter is made of plastic foam. It should be washed with washing powder or soapy water (gasoline is prohibited), then rinsed with clean water, dried, and then soaked in an appropriate amount of engine oil (squeeze it dry with your hands after soaking). When replacing a new filter, oil immersion must be carried out in the same way. The filter element is made of paper and needs to be replaced with a new one. After cleaning and drying all parts of the filter, install them according to regulations.
4. Remove the intake and exhaust pipes and muffler, and remove the internal water. Turn on the pressure reduction and crank the diesel engine to see if there is water discharged from the inlet and exhaust ports. If there is water discharged, continue to crank the crankshaft until all the water in the cylinder is discharged. Install the intake and exhaust pipes and mufflers, add a little engine oil to the air inlet, crank the crankshaft a few times, and then install the air filter. If it is difficult for the flywheel to rotate because the diesel engine has been flooded with water for a long time, it means that the cylinder liner and piston ring have been rusted. They should be disassembled and cleaned, and then assembled again. If they are severely rusted, they should be replaced in time.
5. Remove the fuel tank and drain all the oil and water out of it. Check whether there is water in the diesel filter and oil pipe. If there is water, drain it. Clean the fuel tank and diesel filter, then put them back in place, connect the oil line, and add clean diesel to the tank.
6. Drain the sewage from the water tank and water channels, clean the water channels, and add clean river water or boiled well water until the water float rises. Turn on the throttle switch and start the diesel engine. After starting the diesel engine, pay attention to the rise of the engine oil indicator and listen for any abnormal noises from the diesel engine. After checking whether all parts are normal, run the diesel engine in. The running sequence is first idle, then medium speed, and then high speed. The running time is 5 minutes each. After running in, stop the engine and drain the engine oil. Re-add new engine oil, start the diesel engine, and run it at medium speed for 5 minutes, then it can be used normally.
Once you find that water has entered the generator set, you should have a simple understanding of the internal situation. You should also be more careful in the maintenance and lubrication work after the water enters, so as to prevent water from corroding parts and causing greater losses.
