Generator setAfter a long service life, faults are inevitable. Once a problem occurs, all we have to do is do simple troubleshooting. Haixing Power reminds everyone not to disassemble blindly. Non-standard operation may cause secondary damage to the equipment.
During the troubleshooting process, the following four principles should be followed:
1. Judgment of faults must be based on overall analysis, and troubleshooting must be comprehensive.
The systems, components, and parts of a diesel generator set are closely related. If one component, system, or part fails, other systems, components, or parts will inevitably be involved. Therefore, a fault phenomenon cannot be viewed in isolation. The cause of the fault must be analyzed as a whole and the fault must be eliminated in a timely manner.
2. When searching for diesel generator set faults, disassembly should be minimized as much as possible
When troubleshooting, you cannot blindly disassemble the components of the diesel generator set. You must first understand the structure, working principle, fault location, etc. of the diesel generator set before disassembly. Disassembly can only be carried out on the basis of scientific and careful analysis.
For example: During the operation of the diesel generator set, if a fault phenomenon of oil burning is discovered, if the engine oil is burned without identifying the cause or which part is damaged and blindly dismantled, this will not only prolong the troubleshooting time, but may also cause other problems. The relative positions of components change. Therefore, when troubleshooting a diesel generator set, it is necessary to identify which part or system has failed before repairing it to prevent blind care. The correct approach is to disassemble as few parts of the diesel generator set as possible when finding faults.
3. Be careful when looking for faults, and check by looking, listening, touching and smelling.
4. When troubleshooting, it is necessary to classify and search according to the major systems of the diesel generator set.
Diesel generator sets can be divided into two parts: diesel engine and generator. A diesel engine has two major components and five major systems. The two major components are the fixed components and the relative moving components of the diesel engine. For example, the cylinder head, cylinder block, cylinder liner, etc. are fixed components, while the piston, connecting rod, and crankshaft are relatively moving components. The five major systems are: fuel system, lubrication system, cooling system, air distribution system, starting and charging system.
The generator is composed of a stator, a rotor, an automatic voltage regulating device and a power transmission control part. The relationship between the stator and the rotor is that the generator rotor is supplied with direct current to form fixed magnetic poles. When the rotor rotates, the stator cuts the magnetic lines of force to generate AC voltage. The function of the generator automatic voltage regulating device is to keep the generator terminal voltage constant when the generator load increases (or decreases) the excitation current. No matter which system or component fails in the major systems of these generator sets and the various components of the generator, the diesel generator set will not work properly.
In some cases, if your actual maintenance experience is not rich enough and you are unable to troubleshoot the fault, you can try to seek help from the professional staff of the generator set manufacturer for maintenance guidance.
