Diesel generator sets generally need to change the oil once after 500 hours of operation. However, sometimes the replacement period is not reached, or the oil becomes thinner and impurities increase before it has been used for a long time, making it impossible to continue using it.
Why does diesel generator oil deteriorate too quickly?
①. The engine oil grade is wrong and the quality does not meet the requirements. Generally, diesel generators with supercharged speed and calibrated speed greater than 2000r/min should use CC grade or above engine oil;
②. The technical condition of the diesel engine generator is not good, gas blow-by, oil blow-by, the fitting gap is too large or the oil temperature is too high;
③. Diesel engine generators often operate at low temperatures, low loads, and low speeds, and the piston deforms insufficiently. Diesel enters the oil pan along the cylinder wall, causing the oil to dilute and deteriorate;
④. The exhaust gas enters the oil pan and condenses into moisture and acidic substances, causing the engine oil to deteriorate;
⑤. The oil filter element is dirty, and unfiltered dirty oil enters the lubricating parts, accelerating the wear of parts.
⑥. Internal leakage occurs due to rupture of the sealing ring of the filter element, and part of the oil passes directly through the filter without filtering the element, causing the oil to deteriorate.
