1. Purpose and conditions of use

1. The unit operates continuously for 12 hours at rated power (including 10% overload for 1 hour). When the calibration power is backup power, the unit can only operate continuously for 1 hour at full load and has no overload capacity.

2. The unit is only suitable for use indoors or in situations where it can avoid sun and rain.

2. Introduction to the unit structure

The unit consists of a diesel engine, generator, control box, voltage regulator, heat sink, coupling and public chassis. All components of the unit are installed on a common chassis to facilitate the movement and installation of the unit.

'Four protection type, self-starting type' unit has a LCD module controlled by a microcomputer. It can automatically measure the operating parameters of the diesel engine speed, water temperature, oil temperature and oil pressure and display it with digital display. It can also be used as a fault protection device for the diesel engine. When the parameters exceed the limit, it can automatically stop the vehicle urgently when the parameters exceed the limit. For detailed instructions, please refer to the randomly attached control screen instruction manual.

The ordinary control box is a simple or electromechanical combination (that is, the thermal monitoring system of a diesel engine and the electrical monitoring system of a generator are combined into one), and is placed on the left or above the outlet box of the rear end of the generator. The panel of the control box is only equipped with three commonly used electrical instruments (voltage, frequency, current).

3. Installation of unit

1. The layout principle of the diesel generator room is: to ensure that the unit (including diesel engine, generator and control screen) can work normally and facilitate use, operation and maintenance. The specific plan should be considered based on the actual use of the unit and the selected model.

2. A space distance of 0..8~1.0m should be left around the unit, and no other items should be placed for operators to patrol and maintain.

3. The connections of the oil, water and exhaust pipelines required for diesel generator sets must be clean and unobstructed, with a firm connection and reliable sealing. The electrical connections must be arranged in an orderly manner, firm and without looseness. The unit must be equipped with a grounding wire and the grounding must be good.

4. Use of the unit

(I) Preparation before starting:

1. Remove dust, water, oil and rust attached to the unit surface.

2. Check whether all mechanical couplings and fasteners are loose; check whether all moving parts rotate flexibly, whether there are any phenomena such as squeezing and blocking; check whether the wiring is firm and correct, whether the contact is good and reliable, and whether there are any phenomena such as looseness or falling off.

3. Check the amount of oil stored in the fuel tank to meet the requirements of the specified operating time.

4. Turn on the switch from the fuel tank to the diesel fuel oil transfer pump and use the fuel hand pump to remove air from the fuel system.

5. Check if there is enough oil in the diesel oil pan, fuel injection pump and speed governor.

6. Check whether the cooling water in the radiating water tank is full.

7. Place each switch on the control screen in the corresponding position of the monitoring unit's work, and the automatic air switch should be in the open position.

(II) Manual startup step:

1. Turn on the power switch (the power indicator light is on), press the start button to start the diesel engine. At this time, the operation indicator light is on. If the diesel engine cannot start after pressing the start button 12S, then the second start should be done after 2 minutes.

2. After the diesel engine is started, the speed should be controlled at around 600-700r/min, and pay close attention to the reading of the engine oil pressure. If the engine oil pressure is not indicated or is less than 0.12MPa, the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection.

3. If the low-speed operation is normal, the speed can be gradually increased to 1000-1200r/min for preheating of the diesel engine. When the water temperature reaches 55℃ and the oil temperature reaches about 45℃, the speed can be increased to 1545r/min, or 1575r/min (for 250KW units). At this time, the frequency meter reading should point to 51.5HZ~52HZ.

4. If the unit is working normally at this time, close the automatic air switch.

(III) Checks in operation:

1. When the unit is working normally, the voltage should be around 400V, the current should not be greater than the rated current of the generator, the frequency should be around 50Hz, and the phase conversion switch should be used to check the numerical changes of the three-phase voltage and current frequently. The water temperature and oil temperature of the diesel engine shall not be greater than 95℃, and the oil pressure shall be within the range of 0.25-0.35MPa (the supercharged diesel engine should be within 0.3-0.35MPa). The unit should pay attention to their changes at any time when operating. When the specified value exceeds the specified value, some load should be removed or the machine should be shut down for inspection.

2. All diesel engine pipelines should be inspected at any time, and if there are any damage and leakage, they should be repaired in time.

3. If the unit has abnormal phenomena and needs to be powered off or shut down immediately, you can press the 'Emergency Stop' button or pull the 'Manual Stop' handle.

(IV) Manual shutdown step:

1. Gradually remove the load and disconnect the automatic air switch.

2. Under no load conditions, gradually reduce the rotation speed to 600-700r/min, and stop the machine when the water and oil temperature of the diesel engine drop below 70℃.

3. When the ambient temperature is lower than 5℃, all the accumulated water in the diesel engine cooling system such as the heat dissipation water tank, circulating water pump, oil cooler, and body should be drained to prevent freezing, but for those adding antifreeze, there is no need to release water.

Notes:

In order to ensure the power supply reliability of the main power grid and the self-starting unit, the user must use mechanical and electrical interlock between the main power grid and the main switch of the unit.
