Generally, diesel generator sets should be replaced once after running for 500 hours, but sometimes the oil becomes thinner and impurities increase before it reaches the replacement period, and it is impossible to continue to use it.
Why does diesel generator oil deteriorate too fast
①. If the oil grade is incorrect and the quality does not meet the requirements, generally diesel generators with a booster and calibration speed greater than 2000r/min should use CC grade or above;
②. The technical condition of the diesel engine generator is not good, the gas, oil, coordination gap is too large or the oil temperature is too high;
③. Diesel generators often operate at low temperatures, low loads, and low speeds. The piston deformation is insufficient. Diesel enters the oil pan along the cylinder wall to dilute and deteriorate the engine oil;
④. The waste gas enters the oil pan and condenses into moisture and acidic substances, causing the engine oil to deteriorate;
⑤. The engine oil filter element is dirty. The dirty engine oil that has not been filtered enters the lubricated area, accelerating the wear of the parts.
⑥. The filter element sealing ring breaks and leaks internally. Some of the engine oil passes through the filter directly without the filter element, causing the engine oil to deteriorate.
